Investing in stocks for begginers
LANCHING THE FREE STOCK MARKET SERIES:-
s
PART :-1
Today, the Indian stock market ecosystem is going to change
forever. Stock market, a word and a world that fascinates many. Even you are
here to learn about the stock market, right? You are here to make money from
the stock market. But let's be really real here. How many people are even able
to make money from the stock market? Are you able to? Let's think about that.
Let's take some data and look into it.
130 crore people in the largest democracy of the world,
India. Out of this 130 crore people, just 2% of the people participate in the
market. That is nearly 2.6 crore people. And out of this 2.6 crore people
participating in the market, data says that 95% of the investors and traders
lose money. That is, again numbers for you. Out of the 2.6 crore people
participating in the market, only 13 lakh people making profits in the market.
That is, the rest of the 2.5 crore people, they are actually losing their money
by participating in the market. They came into the market for making a lot of
money, but 2.5 crore people losing money. So that is the grim reality of this
world. Out of the 130 crore people in the country, 128 crore not even
participating in the market. And out of the 2.6 crore people, nearly 2.5 crore
people losing money.
Why do you think this is happening? Why do you think in this
land of India where people really want to come into the world of stock market
and make money from it, why a lot of people are failing? Three reasons for you:
- No
proper awareness.
- No
proper education.
- No
proper perspective set when it comes to the world of stock market
participation.
Now I will go into some stories and tell you why people fail
in stock market investing and trading. Let's take a case of 100 new retail
participants coming into the world of stock market. Where do you think these
people heard about the stock market? Probably a friend would have said or a
relative would have said or more importantly a stock market guru on YouTube or
social media would have shown them a profit screenshot. That is how a lot of
people are coming into the stock market today.
So yeah, the story of 100 people coming into the stock
market, they want to invest, they want to trade. And what happens hereafter?
Out of these 100 people, 95 people, what do they do? These 95 people, they come
into the market, they know shit about the market, but they start buying stocks,
selling stocks, they start trading, they get into intraday trading, they get
into futures and options trading. And what is the eventuality? They end up
losing their money. It is very normal, right? They know shit about the market,
they come into the market, do some random stuff in the market, do some random
trades, they end up losing their money. They end up blowing up their capital
within few months of coming into the market.
What about the other 5 people? The other 5 persons, they
come into the market, they try to understand the market, they try to understand
and learn about the market, they get right education, they learn the right
strategies, they get the right mindset, which is the most important, and then
they invest, then they trade, and those 5 people end up winning in the market,
end up making money in the market.
Now do you understand my point? Do you understand my point?
When the data says that 95% of traders and investors lose money, let me say for
a reality that these 95% people lose money because they have no idea what they
are doing. They have no education, they do not understand the market, and even
then they trade and within a few months they end up losing money, whereas these
5 people, because they learned well, because they got the right mindset about
the market, they end up in winning in the market.
So what I am trying to say here is that when the data says
that 95% of traders and investors lose money, do not be worried. If you learn
well, if you get the right mindset, if you get the right perspective, then you
can be part of the other 5, and that's exactly what we are going to do here.
So again, re-establishing my point, stock market is no
rocket science, you just need common sense, minimum IQ, and a lot of
discipline, and even you and everyone can start making money in the market.
And again, I want to give you stories and analogies to prove
that this is no different than any other industry. Let's talk about some
examples here. Let's take the example of a doctor oran engineer or a developer.
Let's also take examples of carpenters and plumbers. Right? Example of any
other profession. When do they also make money? They also start putting their
skills into practice and start making money only after years of education,
years of on-the-job training. Only after that, they start implementing their
skills to make money.
But when it comes to the world of stock market, everyone
wants to get in, learn from a few YouTube videos or a few days' workshop and
then start making money instantly. They want to get rich quickly. They want to
get rich overnight. Do you think it's really practical for that to happen? Any
other profession, they put in years of work to acquire the skills to make
money. But when it comes to the world of stock market, everyone wants to become
an expert in weeks or even months. Definitely not going to happen. This is what
you should understand.
Let's take a doctor without any education, without any
training. Can he do a surgery? Let's take a carpenter for example. Without any
training, can he actually build a furniture? What will be the state of the
furniture? And that is the state of trading and investing of all these retail
participants who are coming into the market by watching YouTube videos and
stuff, understanding nothing about the market. That's exactly what I am going
to change.
